Postage Decrease

Did you know that the price of the stamp is going to drop this year?! It hasn’t done that in a very long time. Am I the only one excited about this big news?

SIP Challenge 23

I haven’t participated in a card challenge for awhile and thought I’d give it a try this week. For this challenge I challenged myself to make a winter card in non-traditional Christmas colors just for fun. Have you challenged yourself lately?

Please come back to see other projects with my newest supplies.

Cherry On Top

I’m absolutely obsessed with my cupcake framelits by Sizzix at the moment. It comes with so many different dies to make a cupcake. Recently a friend of mine asked for me to create a birthday card for his sister. The best part is he left the creativity part up to me. I chose to do a chocolate cupcake with purple sprinkles and a cherry on top. What could be be better than a chocolate cupcake with sprinkles?

Can You Case It Challenge

My husband is slowly, but surely updating my new website with all of my cards. The new website is and there are some cards currently posted if you’d like to take a peak. This week I took a break from creating for a few days, but today I saw the CYCI #81 sketch and I just had to pull out my papers. It was nice being able to step away from my craft room for a bit.

The stamp set I used was called Festival of Tress by Stampin’ Up and it’s one of my favorites from last year. Did you do any crafting over the weekend? If you did please post your links. I’d love to take a look!

Norfolk Tuesdays Together

Last night was my Tuesdays Together meeting and attended a different meeting than my norm. It was wonderful meeting a new group of ladies and small business owners. The meeting tonight was about Instagram. Do you use it? I’m new to it, but I love it. There’s still a lot that I need to work on and one of the things is posting consistently during the week. After last night I walked away with idea, apps that I want to try, and honestly it felt like I was apart of an amazing community. Don’t be afraid to try more than one meeting place if you can.

  1. Leave the majority of your hashtags in a comment instead of your caption (it gets overwhelming and I’m guilty of it)
  2. Post no more than 3 times a day! It won’t disappear like Facebook and we’ll see it
  3. Post at least once during the business work week
  4. Comment on people with large followings and generate a conversation at least 5-10 times a day
  5. Use local hashtags (they can be your best friend)
  6. Be You on Instagram and use Facebook more for SEO
  7. icono square can be a useful tool
